Join our busy and expanding cargo operation at Bournemouth Airport as a Cargo Duty Manager. In this pivotal role, you'll lead shift operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and excellent service delivery across our growing cargo network.

What you'll do:

Take full responsibility for all cargo operations during your shift, ensuring tasks are completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards. Act as the senior operational decision-maker on your shift, coordinating staff and responding to incidents, disruptions, or safety concerns. Lead shift handovers, clearly communicating priorities, operational updates, and any issues requiring follow-up. Support operational processes including flight scheduling, ramp coordination, and pre- and post-flight procedures. Motivate and guide team members on shift to maximise efficiency, productivity, and service quality. Maintain accurate operational records and ensure compliance with aviation regulations, security protocols, and Health & Safety standards. Liaise with airlines, customers, and regulatory authorities to ensure expectations are met and issues resolved promptly.

What we're looking for:

Strong knowledge of cargo handling, aviation procedures, ground operations, customs, dangerous goods, and aviation security. Experience using aviation management systems in a 24/7 operational environment. Proven ability to lead teams during shifts, make decisive operational decisions, and solve problems effectively. Excellent organisational, communication, and customer service skills. Calm, confident, and proactive under pressure. Desirable: 3+ years' experience in an aviation operational management role.
