Freelance Carpentry Estimator / Quantity Surveyor

Location: Remote / Hereford (office)

Salary: 45k - 55k per year plus fuel allowance, dependant on experience.

Salary based on freelance 40 hrs per week with a view to permanent employment based on successful trial period (8 weeks)

Hrs negotiable with a minimum of 30 hrs per week.

Applicants must have own transport and able to work remotely across sites and commute to Hereford office.

Richard Evans Carpentry Ltd operates across the Midlands, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, the Cotswolds, Warwickshire, Gloucestershire & Oxfordshire mainly on large scale residential sites for the leading UK house builders.

We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. Successful candidates will play a crucial role in the growth and success of the company.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

Conduct accurate estimates and quantity surveying for construction projects. Invoice checks Produce site labour price lists. Assist with securing new leads / projects. Assist with drawing changes and distribution. Ensure accuracy in specifications and contract requirements. Valuations & variations. Provide expertise in construction cost management. Liase with management and attend site if required.

Experience :

Experience as an Estimator / Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry. Carpentry background / knowledge preferred. Strong knowledge of construction processes and materials. Excellent analytical and numerical skills. Proficient in using industry-standard software for quantity surveying. Relevant qualifications in quantity surveying or similar.
