Freelance Carpentry Estimator / Quantity Surveyor

Location: Stratford Upon Avon Office / Remote

Salary: 45k - 55k per year plus fuel allowance, dependant on experience.

Salary based on freelance 40 hrs per week with a view to permanent employment based on successful trial period (4 weeks)

Hrs negotiable with a minimum of 30 hrs per week to be confirmed before start.

Applicants must have own transport and be able to work on a Hybrid basis between Stratford Upon Avon office and across all sites.

Richard Evans Carpentry Ltd operates across the Midlands, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, the Cotswolds, Warwickshire, Gloucestershire & Oxfordshire mainly on large scale residential sites for the leading UK house builders.

We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. Successful candidates will play a crucial role in the growth and success of the company.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

Conduct accurate estimates and quantity surveying for construction projects. Invoice checks including extracting variations and invoicing to main contractor. Produce site labour price lists. Assist with securing new leads / projects. Assist with drawing changes and distribution. Ensure accuracy in specifications and contract requirements. Fortnightly valuations on all sites. Submit variation order requests from site teams and contracts managers. Provide expertise in construction cost management. Liase with contracts management and work remotely across all sites. Must be located within easy reach of Stratford Upon Avon (office) The Midlands, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, the Cotswolds, Warwickshire, Gloucestershire & Oxfordshire.

Experience :

Experience as an Estimator / Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry. Carpentry background / knowledge preferred. Strong knowledge of construction processes and materials. Excellent analytical and numerical skills. Proficient in using industry-standard software for quantity surveying. Relevant qualifications in quantity surveying or similar.
