We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in building and assembling structures, with proficiency in using both power and hand tools. This role requires a keen understanding of schematics and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. As a Fitter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all components are accurately constructed and assembled to meet project specifications.

Responsibilities

Interpret and work from schematics to assemble components accurately. Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively for building and fitting tasks. Perform painting and finishing tasks as required to ensure high-quality results. Collaborate with team members to complete projects within specified timelines. Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations. Conduct regular inspections of completed work to ensure adherence to quality standards. Assist in troubleshooting issues that may arise during the fitting process.

Requirements

Proven experience in fitting or a similar role, preferably within a construction or manufacturing environment. Strong skills in using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. Experience in building, painting, or carpentry is highly desirable. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members.
