Duties

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and preparation. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to maintain high standards of performance. Develop and implement innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while catering to customer preferences. Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Train new kitchen personnel in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen protocols. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as necessary to ensure smooth operations. Maintain high standards of presentation for all dishes served.

Experience

Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a restaurant setting. Strong culinary skills with extensive knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation methods. Previous supervisory or team management experience is essential. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices is required. Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team collaboration and motivation. A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences is crucial. Experience in menu development and cost control is advantageous.
