Job summary




Scottish Forestry (SF) is an agency of the Scottish Government, responsible for forestry policy, support and regulation. We are responsible for promoting, controlling and regulating all aspects of woodland management throughout the south of Scotland. We also provide advice and support on areas of Scottish Government policy , including the delivery of the Scottish Forestry Strategy (SFS) Implementation Plan. The Conservancy covers the Dumfries and Galloway and Borders local authority areas and the southernmost areas of Ayrshire. Our South Conservancy is one of 5 conservancies within SF. The main office is located in Dumfries and there is an area office in Selkirk. South Conservancy has a team of 30 staff. The Case Support Team is made up of 4 Case Support Officers located in Dumfries with a Case Management Officer, and 2 located in Selkirk with a Case Management Officer and the Assistant Office Manager.The advertised vacancy will be located in the Dumfries office.

Job description




The Case Support Team plays a key part in providing support to the Conservancy across a range of tasks.


You will provide administrative support for the Conservancy's Grants & Regulations function and also an information and enquiry service to agents and the general public. You will also assist with general administration and/or finance to provide support to the Operations Team and the Office Manager to enable business needs are met.

Experience

Essential:

oExperience of working in an office environment, in a team providing support to a diversegroup of internal and external stakeholdersoExperience of planning, organising and managing workloadsoProficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages such as Outlook , Word and Excel

Desirable:

oPrevious experience of grants and regulations administration

oStrong numerical skills
