Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and ensuring a positive shopping experience. You will handle transactions, assist customers with their queries, and contribute to a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them throughout their shopping experience. Process transactions accurately and efficiently at the cash register. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional manner. Promote additional products through upselling techniques to enhance customer satisfaction. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the checkout area and store displays. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Keep track of inventory levels and report any discrepancies as needed.

Skills

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers. Strong selling skills with the ability to upsell products when appropriate. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Organisational skills to maintain an orderly workspace and assist with stock management. Multilingual capabilities, particularly in Spanish or other languages, are highly desirable to cater to a diverse customer base. Bilingual proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with all customers.

Pay: 10.00-12.21 per hour
