At our Ammanford Campus, the learning activity on the Ammanford campus is focused on health, social and childcare as well as construction industry crafts. The construction section delivers courses in bricklaying, plumbing, plastering, painting, decorating, electrical installation and woodtrades.

The role of Caretaker plays a vital part to ensure the smooth and efficient day to day operation of the campuses in order to provide our learners and staff with the best possible learning environment to fulfil their potential. Caretakers are an integral part of the college team.

The position of Caretaker in Coleg Sir Gar offers an interesting and varied role for a person who has the appropriate skills, enthusiasm, flexibility and a positive approach to work. It is a demanding and physical role with a significant amount of time spent actively walking around buildings and the sites.

An "on call" rota system (Monday to Sunday) is operated on all campuses in order to ensure there is cover for emergency call outs. Attendance on site for alarm activation call outs or any other emergency is a fundamental condition of employment.

In addition, weekend work maybe required.

Pay: 15.03 per hour
