We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Early year's Practitioner to join our continually growing team!

We are looking for a positive and friendly individual to join our fun and caring team providing care and education opportunities for children under aged 2 years until 4, located in the heart of Portlethen within Portlethen community centre, Portlethen Academy.

For many children our classes can be a child's first experience of leaving their parent/carer. Staff will strive to offer a variety of play methods, aim to help all children learn vital skills to help them grow by offering independence and help children to socialise with other children of a similar age.

Working hours for this position are on an as and when required basis helping to cover staff absences. Our classes operate from 9am till 12pm and 12pm till 3pm (options for full days 9am till 3pm) where we operate during Aberdeenshire term time only. (There could be the potential of working Maximum 30 hours a week with additional hours available for team meetings and training and development). All of our relief staff are offered any upcoming positions before these are advertised externally. There may be the opportunity of permanent hours coming up within the future as the service expands.

The position is regulated work with children and will be subject to appropriate checks and successful candidates will be required to become a member of the protection of vulnerable groups scheme (PVG) and the regulating body Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) Experience and qualifications are advantageous however not essential.
