Role Overview:

This is a hands-on technical operations role, responsible for keeping our CCTV towers running smoothly and efficiently across all sites. As the CCTV Operations Manager, you'll ensure that towers deliver top-level performance, up-time, and customer satisfaction -- while closely managing costs and technical efficiency.

This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in CCTV systems (preferably Hikvision), who enjoys remote diagnostics, problem-solving, and managing the full life cycle of fielded CCTV technology.

Key Responsibilities:

CCTV Tower Performance

Ensure towers are running at optimal performance across all sites. Proactively monitor health, connectivity, and data performance of each unit. Identify and resolve faults remotely where possible (adjust camera angles, reboot systems, apply settings).

Customer Experience

Support customer satisfaction by ensuring uninterrupted service delivery. Liaise with internal teams and field engineers to resolve issues swiftly. Act as a technical point of contact for escalated tower issues.

System Efficiency & Cost Management

Monitor and manage SIM card usage, data costs, and network reliability. Oversee the allocation and performance of remote monitoring systems. Implement controls and improvements that reduce downtime and overheads.

Stock, Data & Reporting

Track tower usage, deployment, and performance metrics. Maintain records of configurations, incidents, and remote interventions. Support planning and development of improved service procedures.

Skills & Experience:

Required

Strong working knowledge of CCTV systems, particularly remotely monitored setups. Proven experience with fault-finding, troubleshooting, and remote access software. Technical understanding of SIM/data management, including APNs and mobile network behaviour. High attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and a proactive approach to issue resolution. Confident with technical documentation, performance tracking, and reporting.

Preferred

Hands-on experience with Hikvision systems, including configuration and remote management. Experience within a rental or field-service model. Background in physical security tech, construction, or remote site operations.
