Responsibilities
Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and menu specifications.
Assist in the development of new menu items, ensuring creativity and seasonal relevance.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring that all dishes are prepared efficiently and to the highest standards.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service periods.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in culinary techniques and best practices.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and meal presentation.
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
A creative approach to cooking with an eye for detail in presentation.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential.
