Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards. Manage kitchen operations, including inventory control and ordering supplies as needed. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative techniques. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety practices. Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation to ensure consistency.

Skills

Strong culinary skills with experience in meal preparation and cooking techniques. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen environment. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent organisational skills with the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
