Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and meal preparation, with experience in a restaurant setting. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually appealing dishes while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and kitchen hygiene are maintained.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and kitchen standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan and execute meal preparation efficiently. Assist in the development of new recipes and menu items that reflect current culinary trends. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as necessary. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, providing guidance on cooking techniques and kitchen operations. Help manage kitchen operations during busy service periods to ensure timely delivery of meals.

Skills

Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills. Experience working in a restaurant or similar kitchen environment. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining hygiene in the kitchen. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members effectively. A passion for cooking and creating innovative dishes that delight customers.
