Responsibilities

Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to established recipes and standards. Ensure food safety and hygiene practices are adhered to at all times in the kitchen. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative techniques. Supervise kitchen staff during food preparation and cooking processes. Maintain an organised kitchen environment, ensuring cleanliness and efficiency. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as necessary. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques and food preparation methods.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant environment. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety regulations, and meal preparation processes. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. Creativity in menu design and presentation of dishes. Strong communication skills to effectively lead the kitchen team. A passion for cooking and helping others develop their culinary skills.
