Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts and a commitment to food safety and quality. As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality meals, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards, and contributing to the overall success of our kitchen operations.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications. Ensure that all food preparation is conducted in compliance with food safety regulations. Assist in menu planning, including the selection of seasonal ingredients and innovative meal preparation techniques. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen, including proper storage of food items. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient kitchen operations. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Help create a positive work environment by fostering teamwork and communication among staff.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or kitchen environment. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety standards, and meal preparation practices. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new recipes. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred but not essential.
