Excellent opportunity for the right candidate. A new centre manager is required for a modern community and leisure facility based in Great Park dedicated to its users and residents.

You will lead a highly motivated and friendly team specialising in excellent customer service, as well as a host of other responsibilities. The right candidate will have a high interest in leisure management and have both a community and commercial approach to work. Variable working patterns including daytime, evenings and occasional weekends are applicable to this role.

Key responsibilities & duties



Assist and supervise customers in their use of the facilities, ensuring their safety and well- being always. Lead a small team of staff ensuring support, guidance, and company policies are followed.
This will include compiling staff rotas, monitoring hours, one to ones and leading team meetings.

Identify any improvements or issues and assess options to enhance the facility. Continue and build relations with current suppliers, clients, and users of the facilities. Analysis of current trends within the facility including income, bookings usage, feedback, and marketing. Budgeting for the year and analysis on previous years to ensure the finances and quality of service are delivered. Lead on marketing for socials, website, internal and external. Event management, where applicable. Assist Project Director in compiling monthly reports with use of Microsoft office. Monitor staff and respond to enquiries via phone, email, social media, and bookings system. Ensure your team is completing administration tasks as and when required including responding to enquiries and taking bookings for clients using an online database. Supervise and ensure set up and take down of rooms and equipment in a proper and safe manner. This could include the opening/locking and checking of all rooms and buildings within the centre when required. Carry out regular routine inspections of centre equipment to ensure satisfactory operation and maintenance of safety standards. Ensure cleaning as necessary to attain a high level of cleanliness and maintenance of safety standards. Assist all customers who have queries, complaints or require information, in a polite, friendly, and helpful manner. Undertake any specific tasks relating to new initiatives, special events and special customer needs. Comply with all operating procedures and requirements of the company.

Excellent time keeping and a flexible approach to working.

Leadership qualities.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Proficient experience in working with Microsoft packages including Word and Excel.

This job requires lone working at times and locking up of facilities. As such only responsible candidates over the age of 18 will be considered.

Desired Criteria (not essential)



Any relevant qualifications in management.

First Aid trained.

Experience in management of staff.

Experience in a marketing capacity.

Own transport.

Flexibility



To deliver the service effectively, a degree of flexibility is needed, and the post holder will be required to perform work not specifically referred to above. Such duties however will fall within the scope of the post.
