At SFiCE Foundation our main objectives are community development, to help reduce the effects of food poverty, isolation, and ill health within the city of Nottingham.
We aim to do this by providing several free projects for vulnerable adults and the homeless. We address educational, health & well-being and core needs.
In June 2015 we held our first SFiCE Social Cafe in Nottingham to help ease the effects of food poverty faced by vulnerable people within the city. We now open the Social Cafe three (soon to be four) times a week. We also provide health checks, ESOL classes, clothing bank, food bank and toiletries.Our Music for wellbeing sessions are a great way for the community to get together, have fun and improve our mental health in our fun filled music workshop.
Our charity is expanding and as demand for our services continues to grow, we require a Charity Manager for the next year (potential to extend subject to funding) to support us through this exciting period.
About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Manager to join our team and play a vital role in Supporting Vulnerable Adults in Nottingham. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of those who need it most, using your skills and experience to contribute to the smooth running and development of our vital services.Your Schedule will be as follows; Monday 12pm-6pm, Tuesday 11am-6pm, Wednesday 11am-6pm, Thursday 10am-6pm, Friday 9am-4pm
The role is Full Time, 35 hours per week Monday- Friday. Salary 29,000 per annum
Responsibilities:
Supporting the Chief Operations Officer (and occasionally the Charity Director): You will work closely with the Chief Operations Officer to ensure the effective delivery of our services, providing day to day operational support and taking on delegated tasks.
Work closely with the Fundraising Officer, Project Teams, and volunteers to ensure that we improve and empower the lives, wellbeing, and interpersonal skills of our service users.
Service Delivery and Support:
You will be involved in the direct delivery of services to vulnerable adults, providing individual and group support, building relationships and advocating for their needs. Referring to other projects within the organisation where appropriate.
Volunteer Management:
You will play a key role in recruiting, training and supervising volunteers, ensuring they are equipped to provide valuable support to our service users.
Project Management:
You will be responsible for managing specific projects or initiatives aimed at improving service delivery or expanding our reach.
Data and Reporting:
You will assist with collecting and analysing data to monitor service performance, prepare reports and contribute to funding applications.
Safeguarding:
You will uphold our safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring the safety and well-being of all service users and volunteers.
Additional Tasks:
You will be expected to undertake other duties as required, contributing to the overall smooth running of the service and raising the profile of the Charity.
Person Specification:
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
Experience in Project Management
Experience in working within the Third Sector
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of others.
IT literate and adaptable to new technologies.
A passion for social justice and a desire to make a positive impact.
Desirable Skills:
Experience in volunteer management.
Experience working with vulnerable adults in a similar setting.
Marketing experience.
Fundraising experience.
Relevant qualifications in social care, health, or related field.

Competitive salary- The gross salary rate for this role is 16 per hour 28 days annual leave,

extra days off around Christmas
