We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation and culinary arts, with a flair for creativity and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a Chef, you will lead the kitchen staff, manage food production, and ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety. You will mainly be the only chef on duty at the time, due to the nature of the business, so you must be confident working alone. When business increases, this will then be re-looked at. This will be on a Marstons menu.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food preparation and service.
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and standards.
Monitor inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain optimal stock levels.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during peak times.
Skills
Proficient in food preparation techniques and culinary skills with a passion for cooking.
Excellent understanding of hospitality principles and customer service excellence.
Knowledge of food production processes and best practices for kitchen management.
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations to ensure compliance at all times.
Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail in all aspects of the role.
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.

Hours can be discussed, will be a minimum of 24 hours a week over three days, but some weeks may be required to work four days instead so averaging 30/34 hours a week (with holiday cover as an extra.) These can either be set days or changing days each week, but you must be available to work Mondays, weekends are also essential. However with weekends (as long as no holiday cover) you will only work one day each week, either the Saturday or Sunday and will be alternated with our other chefs.
