We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities and a deep understanding of food safety and breakfast/lunch dish preparation. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating exceptional dishes, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring a high standard of hospitality is maintained. This role requires a blend of creativity, culinary expertise, and effective team management to deliver an outstanding dining experience.
Duties
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to food safety standards.
Lead and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative team environment.
Develop and design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Ensure the quality of food preparation meets the highest culinary standards.
Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
Train kitchen staff in food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and best practices in hospitality.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant or similar hospitality setting.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in culinary arts.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
Creative flair for developing new dishes and menus that excite guests.
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and other departments.
