Duties

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster teamwork and enhance performance. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations. Collaborate with management on menu planning, including seasonal specials and dietary requirements. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, equipment usage, and safety protocols. Ensure the presentation of dishes meets the restaurant's standards before serving.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry. Strong supervisory skills with experience in team management. Extensive knowledge of food production techniques and culinary arts. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices. Excellent cooking skills with the ability to create diverse menus. Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable. Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire team members. Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
