We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our team. As a Sous Chef, you'll have the opportunity to run your own kitchen, develop your own menu's, responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety, and leading a team of kitchen staff in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Duties
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu and standards.
Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and food presentation.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Implement cost-control measures while maintaining quality standards.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary trends, and kitchen management practices.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team effectively.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and other departments.
