Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus. Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring that food production meets quality standards. Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and positive working environment. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations. Assist in menu planning, including seasonal specials and dietary requirements. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods. Stay updated on culinary trends and incorporate innovative techniques into the menu.

Skills

Proficient in food preparation techniques with a strong understanding of culinary principles. Experience in hospitality with a focus on delivering exceptional dining experiences. Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking methods used in restaurant settings. Strong leadership abilities to effectively supervise and motivate kitchen staff. Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices for hygiene in food production. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.

Pay: From 12.50 per hour
