Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and kitchen management, demonstrating exceptional cooking skills and a commitment to food safety. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, managing team members, and ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Responsibilities

Supervise and lead kitchen staff in daily operations, ensuring efficient workflow and teamwork. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, adhering to recipes and presentation standards. Manage food production processes, including inventory control and ingredient sourcing. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high hygiene standards within the kitchen. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive learning environment. Develop new menu items and specials that reflect current culinary trends while considering guest preferences. Monitor kitchen equipment for proper functioning and report any maintenance issues promptly.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong supervisory skills with experience in team management and leadership. Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and culinary trends. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is essential. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. A passion for cooking and creating exceptional dining experiences for guests.
