We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have formal culinary training and experience, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality modern British cuisine. As a Chef, you will play a pivotal role in managing kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are met, and leading your team to create exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Duties
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring all food is prepared to the highest standards.
Develop and design a modern British menu that reflects current culinary trends while considering guest preferences.
Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and restaurant policies.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
Assist in the planning of special events or catering services as required.
Skills
Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management.
In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques and food production processes.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
Passion for cooking and creativity in menu development.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively lead a team and interact with guests.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
