Responsibilities

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation. Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Develop and implement menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Maintain food safety standards, ensuring compliance with health regulations and best practices. Coordinate food production schedules to meet service demands while minimising waste. Monitor inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as necessary to ensure seamless operations. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction. Continuously evaluate kitchen processes for efficiency improvements and cost-effectiveness.

Requirements

Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably within a restaurant setting. Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively. Comprehensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and guests alike.
