Position Summary:
The
Creative Chef
will play a pivotal role in shaping and evolving our steakhouse menu. This is an opportunity for a culinary visionary who respects tradition but is excited to push boundaries--balancing timeless steakhouse favourites with bold, modern twists. You'll be responsible for concept development, menu creation, team leadership, and overall kitchen excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and execute innovative, high-end steakhouse dishes that honour quality meats and elevate the dining experience
Work closely with the Executive Chef and ownership to refine seasonal menus, signature dishes, and limited-time offerings
Lead the culinary team with a focus on precision, discipline, and creativity
Source premium cuts of meat and seasonal ingredients, maintaining strong supplier relationships
Ensure all dishes meet the highest standards of taste, presentation, and consistency
Monitor kitchen operations, enforce safety standards, and manage food costs
Mentor and train kitchen staff, fostering a culture of excellence and creativity
Stay current with global culinary trends, plating styles, and fine-dining innovations
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years' experience in upscale or fine-dining kitchens, with a focus on fresh cuisine
Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred
A refined palate, attention to detail, and passion for food artistry
Demonstrated ability to create visually stunning and flavourful dishes
Exceptional leadership, organisational, and communication skills
