Staining Lodge Golf Course and The Glass House events venue have an exciting opportunity for an experienced chef, ideally with pastry experience looking to progress in a family run business, with great working hours for a commercial kitchen.

If you have experience in producing high quality products we would love to hear from you. Our Afternoon tea has proved to be very popular so

previous pastry experience is desirable.



Job description



To produce and deliver a variety of dishes to a high standard of preparation, production and presentation. Following set recipes, ensuring measurements are accurate and within cost allowances. The majority of our food is freshly made, so experience making soups, sauces, pastry and general baking skills is a requirement. Good team work ethic, you will be working closely with kitchen and service team to ensure food is prepared within tight timescales and delivered on time to customers. Following safe hygiene protocols to ensure safe cooking temperatures are adhered to, hygiene rules are obeyed and health and safety processes followed. Ensuring safe and practical storage of food items Cleaning and good housekeeping in kitchen area Weekend work is part of the requirement, but shifts mid week are predominately daytime 8:30-5pm with some evening event work at weekends.

Skills



Ideally 2 years' experience in a similar role NVQ Level 2 as a minimum or equivalent Ability to demonstrate good food production Ability to work under the pressure of a busy kitchen

Salary negotiable depending on experience, from 28,000 per annum Tips shared equally between FoH and BoH 5.6 weeks holiday Free parking Free golf 40% staff discount Pension We close Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.
