We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join and support our head chef and our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality and restaurant operations, with a focus on food production and preparation. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring that all food safety standards are met. Responsibilities
Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to established recipes and standards.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
Assist in menu planning, including the development of new dishes and seasonal offerings.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and safety protocols.
Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and in good working order.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
Strong culinary skills with a passion for food preparation and presentation.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen operations.
Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and front-of-house staff.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
