We are seeking an experienced and skilled Chef to join our kitchen team. As a Chef, you will play a pivotal role in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation. You will lead the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef and work alongside him during busy shifts.
Duties
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service.
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu and standards.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance.
Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining stock levels to minimise waste.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.
Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings.
Train new staff members in culinary techniques and kitchen procedures.
Foster a positive team atmosphere that encourages collaboration and creativity.
Skills
Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation and production.
Proven leadership abilities with experience in team management within a kitchen environment.
Excellent organisational skills, capable of multitasking in a fast-paced setting.
A solid understanding of hospitality principles and customer service excellence.
Ability to supervise staff effectively while promoting teamwork.
