1 to 2 evenings per week and occasional themed nights

About Us
The Levels Country Kitchen is a vibrant and welcoming family-run daytime restaurant nestled in the heart of the Somerset countryside at Windmill Retreat Estate. We take pride in serving fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced food with a focus on quality, creativity, and relaxed dining.
We're a super friendly and fun bunch to work with, and as we grow, we're excited to introduce occasional evening service and unique pop-up events. With rotas planned one month in advance, you'll have plenty of notice to plan your life around work. Plus, with mostly daytime hours, this role offers a fantastic work/life balance in a relaxed countryside setting.
The Role
We're looking for a passionate and experienced
Chef
to join our friendly team on a full-time basis from
September 2025
. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to menu development and help shape the future of our food offering - from daytime classics to exciting themed nights and more.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook high-quality meals from scratch for breakfast, brunch, and lunch service
Support with planning and preparation for new evening openings and pop-up events
Work collaboratively with the Head Chef, rest of the kitchen team, and FOH team
Maintain a clean and safe kitchen in line with food hygiene standards
Contribute to stock control, ordering, and waste management
Bring creativity and flair to seasonal menus and daily specials
About You
Proven experience as a chef or cook in a similar kitchen environment
Passionate about fresh and local ingredients
Reliable, organised, and confident working independently or as part of a small team
Positive, proactive, and eager to contribute to a growing business
