We are looking for applicants to join our Kitchen team at Molly's Bar & Restaurant, located on Coed Helen Holiday Park, Caernarfon.
The advertised position is for a chef to assist in all aspects of kitchen operation and management.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about food, preparation and presentation, and, possess the required culinary skill sets to create delicious and visually appealing plates. Dedicated, hard-working and enthusiastic, you will have a professional and thorough approach to all kitchen related tasks, always delivering food of a consistent quality with a timely level of service.
It is essential that you have previous experience with the demands of a faced-paced hospitality and leisure outlet where food and drink form the core of day-to-day business.
Working in our kitchen the role will involve:
The preparation of menu items following recipes and methods
Cook and plate various dishes to specification
Ensure that food quality is to set standards and that food service is fluid and prompt
Maintain a clean and orderly workspace
Adhere to food safety regs and guidance
Monitoring and ordering fresh and frozen stock lines as required
Monitoring product, quality and service, providing feedback to Park Manager
It is essential that the applicant can prep, cook and present a wide-range of food items and that you are proficient in various cooking methods and techniques. Such knowledge and experience will ensure you are able to deliver the required quality outcomes under the pressures of service.
Outside of food service hours there is scope to work front-of-house, and, oversee various supervisory/management aspects at the venue. Applicants for such a role would be our preference.
The role is offered on seasonal basis, hours will subsequently vary depending on the needs of the business. Hours would be approx. 20+ per week. Please be aware that Molly's is typically closed during January and February.
Applicants must be flexible and available to work weekends.
Pay rates in line with and above National Living Wage depending on experience.
