Job Summary

As a Chef, you will oversee kitchen operations, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. Your role will involve supervising kitchen staff, managing food safety protocols, and contributing to menu development.

Duties

Lead and manage the kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish. Develop and implement menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene in the kitchen. Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and operational procedures. Monitor inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences for guests. Assist in the planning of special events or catering services as required.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management and supervision. In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation. Excellent culinary skills with a passion for creating innovative dishes. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and front-of-house staff. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
