The role

The Auctioneer is one of Carlisle's most popular places to go for freshly prepared, quality cooked food. We are open seven days a week for lunches and evening meals and are the ideal venue for families and small celebrations.

We are looking for an experienced Chef or recently qualified Chef to join our busy team.

The responsibilities

Accurately work to recipes and cooking instructions Ability to work in a high-volume environment Ensure good working knowledge of machinery and food preparation processes to achieve optimum results To be able to work as a team and individually Understand food safety requirements and complete necessary documentation accurately

Desirable requirements

Pastry experience preparing desserts and baked goods such as cakes, tarts etc Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment Understanding of food safety practices Excellent time-management skills Good accuracy and literacy for following recipes and completing necessary documentation Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment Team spirit, with a customer-focused attitude Flexibility to work across a variety of shifts to meet the business needs

Qualifications

Recognised catering qualification would be a distinct advantage

Hours and salary

40 hours per week, which will include evening and weekend working, lunchtime shift working is available.

From 13.54 per hour.
