Overview


We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and production, with a focus on maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Chef, you will play a pivotal role in creating exceptional dining experiences while leading and supervising kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations.

Responsibilities



Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth. Develop and implement menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends while adhering to dietary restrictions and preferences. Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste through effective food production practices. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods. Monitor kitchen equipment for proper functioning and arrange for repairs as necessary.

Experience



Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant or similar culinary environment is essential. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in supervising and managing kitchen teams. Proficient in various cooking techniques and cuisines, showcasing creativity in menu planning. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. A culinary qualification or relevant training is preferred but not mandatory for candidates with substantial practical experience.
