Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and quality in food production.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster teamwork and collaboration.
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, adhering to recipes while also innovating new menu items.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations.
Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and safety protocols.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
Monitor kitchen performance and implement improvements as necessary to enhance service quality.
Experience
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry.
Strong supervisory skills with experience in team management and leadership.
Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen operations.
Previous experience working in a restaurant environment is highly desirable.
