Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and safety, with the ability to lead a kitchen team effectively. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious dishes while maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene in the kitchen. This role requires excellent leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, ensuring efficient food production and service. Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards. Maintain food safety and hygiene standards throughout all stages of food preparation and cooking. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and ensuring proper storage of ingredients. Assist in menu planning, including seasonal specials and dietary requirements. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen operations. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods. Monitor kitchen operations to ensure compliance with health regulations and company policies.

Skills

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment. Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management and supervision. Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation skills. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen and front-of-house teams. A passion for culinary arts and creativity in developing new dishes.
