Duties

Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu and standards. Oversee food production processes, ensuring that all meals are prepared efficiently and to specification. Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices. Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new recipes and seasonal menus that reflect current culinary trends. Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations during service. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock. Ensure the kitchen is clean, organised, and well-maintained at all times.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation. Excellent culinary skills with the ability to create diverse menus that cater to various dietary requirements. Experience in team management, demonstrating leadership qualities within a fast-paced environment. Ability to work collaboratively with others while also being able to take initiative when required. A passion for cooking and an eagerness to learn new techniques and cuisines.
