We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, and working with and sometimes leading the team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
Duties
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to the restaurant's menu and standards.
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
Oversee food production processes, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.
Maintain inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to ensure smooth operations.
Train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to hygiene standards at all times.
Assist in managing kitchen budgets and controlling food costs effectively.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or kitchen environment.
Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, and presentation techniques.
Excellent leadership abilities with experience in supervising and managing teams.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
