At Woodside Lodge Care Home in the heart of Bransgore, we're searching for a talented and enthusiastic Chef to join our warm and dedicated team. You'll be more than just a cook; you'll be a vital part of our residents' well-being, creating meals that cater to their individual needs and preferences.

What you'll bring:

A flair for producing high-quality, home-cooked meals using fresh ingredients. Experience in catering, ideally within a care home or similar environment, with knowledge of dietary requirements and texture-modified diets. Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to plan menus specific to season changes and themed events, manage stock, and ensure kitchen hygiene standards are met. A friendly and empathetic approach, understanding the importance of food in the lives of our residents. The ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team. Relevant catering qualifications and food safety certifications.

Responsibilities

Oversee food preparation and cooking in a care home environment, ensuring high standards of food safety and hygiene. Manage kitchen operations, including time management and catering services, to meet residents' dietary needs. Lead and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere. Maintain inventory and ensure the quality of ingredients used in meal preparation. Provide exceptional hospitality to residents and guests, enhancing their dining experience.
