Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to the restaurant's menu and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, safety protocols, and restaurant policies.

Skills

Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation and cooking techniques. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen. Ability to supervise and manage a team effectively in a high-pressure environment. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members. Experience in restaurant operations, including menu planning and food production processes.
