Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our small kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in a busy brunch or cafe kitchen, with a keen understanding of food safety standards.

We are passionate about good quality, local food, and make everything on site including our cakes. The role will include baking cakes, brownies and scones.

Hours include weekends, but no evenings or early starts.

We offer a good work life balance with no evenings, an up beat relaxed working environment, a lovely setting the park, and some flexibility in terms of days of the week.

Duties

Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications. Baking and cake decorating. Adhere to food safety regulations. Maintain a clean and tidy work space. Collaborate with the restaurant management to develop new menu items and specials. Assist in ordering supplies as needed. Setting up and closing down of the cafe.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional service. A creative mindset with the ability to contribute innovative ideas for menu and cake development.

Pay: 12.40-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 35 per week
