We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a background in food production and preparation, with a keen understanding of food safety and hospitality. As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests while leading and mentoring kitchen staff.
Hours will be 35-40 per week. Monday and Tuesday will be guaranteed days off.
Duties
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to the restaurant's menu and standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and best practices.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to develop new recipes and menu items that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained.
Supervise kitchen operations, including managing inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs.
Assist in the planning of special events or catering services as required.
Experience
Ideally 2+ years working in a commercial kitchen.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
A passion for culinary arts and creativity in developing new dishes.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
