Duties
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards.
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and consistency in food preparation.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative team environment.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative culinary techniques.
Monitor inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as necessary to ensure smooth operations.
Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, safety practices, and proper equipment usage.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation.
Experience in team management and supervising kitchen staff effectively.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining hygiene standards.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
