Job Overview

Due to being let down at the last minute we have an immediate start vacancy at The Stag & Hounds, Binfield, Bracknell

Ideally this will be for a permanent position, but we will consider a short term contract for the foreseeable future

We are a busy fresh food led gastro pub, so you must have relevant experience cooking with fresh food, the ability to work well within a team, a good understanding of health and safety and food hygiene

This is a live in position, so you will get your own room, wifi, use of laundry facilities, utilities, and one cooked meal per day, Rent is charged at 65 per week

As well as your salary you will receive an equal share of all tips, company pension and staff discount

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and cooking equipment. Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times. Assist in the development of new recipes and menu items as required. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service periods. Help with inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and food safety practices is highly desirable. Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting. A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new culinary skills is essential.
