Duties

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth food production and service. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes while maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative team environment. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and ensuring proper storage practices. Implement and uphold food safety regulations to guarantee the health and safety of all patrons. Collaborate with management to develop new menu items that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and safety protocols. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area.

Skills

Proven experience in supervising kitchen staff and managing teams effectively. Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques. Excellent culinary skills with a passion for creating innovative dishes. Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is highly desirable. Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices is essential. Exceptional leadership abilities to inspire and motivate team members. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen staff and front-of-house teams.
