We are seeking a talented and creative Chef to join our small hotel restaurant. The restaurant serves a maximum of 30 covers, offering a delightful dining experience for our valued guests. In addition to preparing mouthwatering dishes for dinner, the Chef will be responsible for preparing a delicious continental breakfast to start our guests' day on a high note. Responsibilities:
Menu Planning and Execution: Create innovative and seasonal menus that cater to our guests' preferences while ensuring the highest quality and presentation standards.
Food Preparation: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes for lunch and dinner service, paying close attention to taste, texture, and presentation.
Pizza Oven: Expertly cook delicious pizzas in a traditional pizza oven, experimenting with various toppings and crust styles to provide guests with a memorable culinary experience.
Barbecue Grill: Showcase your grilling skills by preparing delectable barbecue dishes, including meats, seafood, and vegetables, to tantalize our guests' taste buds.
Continental Breakfast: Plan and prepare a delightful continental breakfast, offering a selection of pastries, bread, cold cuts, cheese, yogurt, fruits, and beverages.
Ingredient Sourcing: Source fresh, locally-sourced, and high-quality ingredients to maintain the restaurant's commitment to excellence.
Kitchen Management: Oversee the kitchen's daily operations, ensuring efficiency, cleanliness, and adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
Staff Training: Provide guidance and training to kitchen staff to ensure consistent food preparation and presentation.
Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels and control food wastage to optimize costs and minimize waste.
Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with the front-of-house staff to ensure seamless communication and smooth service.
Menu Specials and Events: Create daily or weekly specials and participate in themed events to enhance the restaurant's offerings and guest experience.
Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all relevant health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Chef in a hotel or restaurant setting.
Culinary degree or relevant certification is an advantage.
Knowledge of various cooking techniques, cuisines, and food presentation.
Experience cooking with a pizza oven and barbecue grill is highly desirable.
Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
