Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to lead the preparation and cooking of authentic Vietnamese dishes at Xin Chao. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of Vietnamese culinary traditions and a strong commitment to quality and consistency. You will play a key role in creating memorable dining experiences that transport our guests to the heart of Vietnam.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a wide range of authentic Vietnamese dishes, including but not limited to ph?, bun, banh mi, g?i cu?n, and street food specials.
Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant kitchen in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
Collaborate with management on seasonal menu planning, dish development, and recipe improvement.
Manage inventory, control waste, and coordinate with suppliers for fresh and authentic ingredients.
Train and supervise junior kitchen staff to ensure consistent performance and uphold culinary standards.
Uphold Xin Chao's values of authenticity, hospitality, and excellence in every dish served.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a chef specialising in Vietnamese cuisine.
Deep understanding of Vietnamese ingredients, spices, cooking methods, and food presentation.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Food hygiene and safety certification (preferred).
