We are seeking a talented and passionate
Chef
to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and culinary arts, with proven expertise in
Indian and Continental cuisine
. A flair for creativity, cultural authenticity, and a deep understanding of hospitality are essential. As a Chef, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional dining experiences, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of quality and presentation.
Duties
Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring efficient food preparation and service.
Prepare and cook a wide variety of
Indian and Continental dishes
, adhering to traditional recipes and modern presentation standards.
Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations.
Supervise food production processes to maintain the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and taste.
Collaborate with the team to develop new menu items inspired by both
regional Indian flavours
and
classic Continental cuisine
.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment.
Prepare and cook authentic Indian dishes (North Indian, South Indian, Tandoor, etc.)
Prepare and cook Continental dishes (Italian, Mediterranean, French, etc.)
Develop new menu items and seasonal offerings in line with current food trends
Manage kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
Ensure food is prepared according to standardized recipes and quality expectations
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory and ordering
Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and safety in the kitchen
Supervise and train junior kitchen staff as needed
Skills
Proven experience in
Indian and Continental cooking
, including traditional and contemporary dishes.
Strong knowledge of hospitality principles and customer service excellence.
Effective team management skills with the ability to lead and motivate kitchen staff.
Proficient in food preparation methods, including
tandoor, curries, sauces, grills
, and
Continental entrees and desserts
.
Excellent leadership abilities to foster a positive working atmosphere.
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
A passion for sharing culinary skills and helping others succeed within the kitchen environment.
