Are you a looking for a Monday to Friday daytimechef job? We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our dynamic team in our exciting new business.
Busy, modern American diner in the heart of East Sussex . All homemade dishes using quality ingredients from local sources. The mid week Chef will be responsible for all aspects of service, kitchen management, stock management and assist with ordering.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production with a flair for creativity and a commitment to excellence in food preparation. As a Chef, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and hospitality.
*the occasional evening shift may be required for private events such as car and bike meet nights and live music and the odd weekend holiday cover maybe required
Responsibilities
Lead and manage kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance.
Oversee the preparation of high-quality dishes that meet our restaurant's standards.
Develop new recipes and menu items that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and minimising waste to optimise kitchen resources.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant environment.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary trends, and kitchen management.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a team effectively.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality.
Creative mindset with the ability to develop innovative dishes that delight guests.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and customers.
Level 3 food hygiene
