The Role:
We are seeking a Chef to lead and support our catering team in preparing high-quality, nutritious meals for our residents. You will ensure our dining experience is exceptional by creating meals based on dietary requirements, personal preferences, and seasonal produce.
Head Chef:
As the Head Chef, you'll oversee the whole catering team, ensuring high culinary standards, cleanliness, and safety. You'll also collaborate with the Home Manager and Activities Coordinators to create memorable meals for special events.
Sous Chef:
As the Sous Chef, you'll support the Head Chef in meal preparation, ensuring that every dish meets our residents' needs while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
We're looking for someone who is passionate about food, takes pride in the dishes they prepare, and works well in a team. Leadership experience is a plus for the Head Chef role, while the Sous Chef should be ready to learn and grow in a collaborative environment.
Head Chef:
Plan and prepare meals to the highest standards, focusing on nutrition and taste.
Manage and lead the catering team.
Ensure kitchen cleanliness and adhere to health and safety regulations.
Create special event menus in collaboration with the Activities Coordinators.
Supervise the kitchen staff and mentor junior chefs.
Sous Chef:
Assist in meal preparation and cooking, maintaining high-quality food standards.
Follow specific dietary requirements and preferences for our residents.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
Work closely with the Head Chef to create delicious meals every day.

Shift Patterns
08:00 AM - 06:00 PM, 3 days on, 3 days off (rolling rota). You must have flexibility to work Monday to Sunday as weekend work is a requirement.
Average Weekly Hours:
35 hours.
Additional Shift:
The head chef will be required to work one additional shift every two weeks to oversee the people management element of your role. This will equate to an average working week of 35 hours in total.
